Batch convert files
Drop several PDFs at once — each is queued, converted and ready to download as its own Word document.
Reuse report content
Pull paragraphs out of a PDF report so you can repurpose the text without retyping it.
Preview before exporting
Check the extracted text in the preview panel to confirm it looks right before downloading the DOCX.
Tips & tricks
Get the most out of it.
- 1Add multiple PDFs — the queue processes and tracks each one separately.
- 2Click the eye icon to preview a file's extracted text before downloading.
- 3Works best on PDFs with real, selectable text rather than scanned images.
- 4Each conversion produces a clean .docx you can open anywhere.
- 5Files are processed locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
- 6Remove any file from the queue at any time with the trash icon.
About PDF to DOC
PDF to DOC extracts the text from your PDF files and exports clean, editable .docx Word documents — all without uploading anything. Queue multiple files, watch each one convert with a live progress bar, preview the extracted text, and download the results.
Editable Word documents, instantly
Turn locked-down PDFs into documents you can actually edit. The tool reconstructs the text flow and packages it into a properly formatted .docx that opens in Word, Google Docs, Pages and more.
Private by design
Both the text extraction and the Word file generation run locally in your browser. Your documents are never sent to a server, which makes this safe for confidential and sensitive material.
Best used for
- Making a text-based PDF editable again
- Repurposing content from reports and articles
- Batch-converting several PDFs into Word documents
- Quickly pulling quotes and passages out of a PDF
Note: because it reads selectable text, PDF to DOC works best on digitally-created PDFs rather than scanned image documents.
Frequently asked questions
This tool extracts real, selectable text from a PDF. Scanned documents are images of text and contain no selectable characters, so they won't convert without OCR (optical character recognition), which this tool doesn't perform.
